Change ‘crocodile tears’ to ‘Kejriwal tears’: SAD’s sharp jibe at AAP govt

“It’s sheer political dishonesty! In fact, the idiom about crocodile tears will have to be changed now to ‘Kejriwal tears’. Delhi CM should withdraw the notification immediately & announce that Delhi govt won’t implement the 3 laws & ensure assured govt marketing of crops at #MSP,” Sukhbir Badal tweeted.

New Delhi: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal took a caustic jibe at the Delhi government over its alleged duplicity in extending support to farmers protest.

SAD chief accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of stabbing farmers in the back over its clearance one of the three contentious farm laws.

It may be noted that AAP govt has been vociferous in its support of protesting farmers, even declining Delhi Police request to turn stadium into open jails. However, on the other hand, It also gave go ahead to one of the farm laws which has prompted the farmers on warpath against Centre.

Badal said that AAP and Arvind Kejriwal have betrayed the farmers by showing fake sympathy and shedding crocodile tears.

He even went a step further and took sharp jibe at the Delhi CM.

The Shiromani Akali Dal chief said he and the farmers have been shocked to learn that Kejriwal had already implemented the Centre’s “anti-farmer” laws and even issued a gazette notification in this regard.

Stating that the “latest betrayal” of Kejriwal has “exposed” him as well as the AAP, Badal said the Delhi chief minister should withdraw the gazette notification immediately.

“Kejriwal should also announce that the Delhi government will not implement the three agri laws and will ensure assured government marketing at minimum support price,” he said.
