New Delhi: Mumbai Airport witnessed uproarious & unruly scenes on Wednesday as scores of passengers created ruckus at the premises after 2 GoAir flights were reportedly cancelled without prior intimation to flyers.

A group of passengers had heated exchange with the GoAir ground staff while some engaged in verbal spat with the airline staff. The passengers, angry over last minute information about flight cancellation, also held a sit-in-protest at the airport.

Passengers who were about to travel from Mumbai to Goa on a GoAir aircraft were reportedly informed 10 minutes before cancellation. The flight slated for 2.10 am at night was cancelled & an announcement was made to this regard, just minutes before it was to take off. About hundred passengers were stuck at the airport due to sudden cancellation.

As the passengers angrily protested against the airline, several videos of chaos & unruly scenes at the Mumbai airport did the rounds on social media.

In some videos, passengers could be heard demanding an alternate flight or a paid accommodation to spend the night. They could also be seen screaming at the top of their voice while agitating against flight cancellation.

The airline, reportedly arranged another flight for the aggrieved passengers at 6.30 am in morning.

A portal reported that 2 other GoAir flights were cancelled — Mumbai to Amritsar and Mumbai to Ahmedabad, further giving a reason to passengers to scale up their protest.
