
Chaos at Shaheen Bagh as man brandishes pistol at protest site
New Delhi: Chaos breaks out at Shaheen Bagh protest site on Tuesday evening when a man carrying pistol entered the site and allegedly threatened the women holding a sit-in against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.
A video has been shared by ANI which says that the man who had gone to talk to protestors brandished a licensed pistol at the protest site.

Notably, the development comes a day after Union Minister Anurag Thakur was caught on camera raising slogans calling for ‘shooting dead the traitors,’ at a poll rally in Rithala.
Hundreds of women have been protesting at the Shaheen bagh against the CAA. This movement has received both support as well as criticism. Its critics claim that the protestors have blocked the road, causing inconvenience to many, including students, motorists.
As part of the protest, the agitators have blocked a key road that connects Delhi to Noida causing inconvenience to thousands of city dwellers. The blockage has affected the lives of local shop owners as they are facing financial losses following closure of shops.
