New Delhi: After an objectionable video showing a Congress MLA sitting right next to bundles of notes went viral, BJP is demanding CM Bhupesh Baghel to take action against the said MLA by initiating a CBI inquiry.
In the viral footage, Chandrapur district’s MLA Ramkumar Yadav is seen sitting on a sofa accompanied by a group of men with stacks of notes lying in front of him.

Sharing the video on his Twitter handle, BJP’s Secretary General OP Choudhary accused the congress leader of corruption and urged Bhupesh government to take action against the legislator. He wrote, “This is the true face of MLA Ramkumar Yadav who pretends himself as someone so poor and vulnerable, says his forefathers use to graze cattle, but is sitting right next to a bundle of cash.”
“Congress has no answer to this video as they have only looted Chhattisgarh for the last five years. Congress rule is mafia Raj in everything from fly ash, coal, sand, liquor “, Choudhary added further in his tweet.
His viral post not only ignited demands for immediate investigation against the accused MLA but also left many wondering about the source of the money in question.
Later, while addressing a press conference, Chaudhry asked CM Bhupesh Baghel to show some courage to accept the truth and take necessary action against their MLA on the basis of the viral video. He even went on to say that if the CM has any doubt about the footage then he should hand over the matter to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Ram Kumar Yadav’s counterattack
Meanwhile, responding to Chaudhry’s allegations against him, Ram Kumar Yadav labelled the video as BJP’s conspiracy to tarnish his image. Counterattacking O. P. Choudhary, the MLA of the poll-bound state said, “Those who have shared this video only on social media can tell the motive behind it. Neither am I looking at the stacks of money lying in front of me nor am I paying attention to them.”
“I come from a financially constrained family and have grazed cattle on the farms. Now I have reached assembly but some capitalist elements are unable to digest it and are trying to malign it by image” He added further in his statement.
Taking a further Dig at OP Choudhary, the legislator asked, “If I get captured in a picture next to an aeroplane will that make the aircraft mine? Or if Ramkumar gets photographed next to a big mansion will it make him the owner of the property? ”
