New Delhi: A school girl in Chennai was brutally attacked by two cows while she was returning home from school, leaving her badly bruised & injured. The horrifying incident was caught on camera and as it landed on social media, it left netizens frightened & shocked. The girl is said to be stable in hospital while undergoing treatment for head injuries.
The brutal attack on the school girl happened when she was returning home with her younger brother & mother, after school. While they were crossing through the LLango street in MMDA colony area of Chennai, two stray cows moving along with them suddenly turned around and attacked the girl.
As one of the cows turned back to attack them, the girl got hit by cow’s horns while others accompanying her managed to escape. The girl was first lifted and then thrashed on the ground. Both the cows stomped on her on the ground while her mother shouted for help while those present nearby hurled stones to save the girl student. The crowd tried to chase away the cows by throwing stones & shouting. It was after several attempts that the girl was rescued.

The incident is said to be triggered by some sound made by girl student’s younger brother, as it made the cattle furious.
The disturbing visuals were captured on nearby CCTV camera and after it landed on social media, it got circulated widely. The hair-raising video has left netizens shocked & stunned.
Many people on social media demanded that cow owner be arrested for such assault. As per reports, the Chennai corporation officials have impounded the stray cows while police has lodged a FIR against the cow owner.
The girl with severe head injuries was hospitalized. She is current recuperating in hospital.
