New Delhi: Chetan Cheetah, Kirti Chakra Awardee and CRPF braveheart is fighting COVID-19 at AIIMS Jhajjar.
Dr Sushma Bhatnagar, chairperson of Covid services at National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Jhajjar, Haryana, which is run by AIIMS, told TOI that the next 48 hours were critical. “He is currently on ventilator. In addition to anti-viral therapy, we are administering antibiotics to treat the secondary bacterial infection. Also, he requires medicines to maintain the blood pressure,” she said.’
He had sustained multiple bullet injuries in a gun battle with terrorist in Jammu and Kamshir in 2017 and survived, is battling for life after testing Covid-positive.
