We have created a 20-bed-ICU facility at the trauma centre; a 30-bed-ICU has been designed at the burns and plastics ward. As of now, we have kept about 50 beds of isolation and 25 ICU beds. We have also placed 150 additional beds in the ward," Dr Randeep Guleria, AIIMS Director, said.

Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Director-General Balram Bhargava has stated that AIIMS building in Haryana's Jhajjar will be used exclusively to treat COVID-19 patients.

On Sunday, Delhi Police sources had said that the SIT had identified seven more people who were allegedly involved in the violence that erupted in the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on January 5.

Delhi police have received multiple complaints in connection with Sunday's violence in JNU in which over a dozen students and faculty members were injured.
