Fire near emergency ward of AIIMs, fire tenders rushed

New Delhi: A blaze broke out in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMs) Delhi on Monday, leaving patients & doctors panic-stricken.

The fire broke out in the endoscopy room, above the emergency ward on the second floor of the nation’s prestigious medical college.

According to reports, the fire started around 11.54 AM and as smoke started billowing out of the windows, it created a panicky scene in the campus.

Fire tenders were rushed to the hospital to douse the fire.

The hospital staff was quick enough to evacuate the hospital premises caught in blaze, resulting in no casualty or injury.

Fire has been brought under control, said officials monitoring the situation on ground.
