Clip of railway workers tossing, manhandling Amazon parcels goes viral, Northeast Frontier unit clarifies [WATCH]

As many blamed the Indian Railways, it said that it is private party’s responsibility to load or unload their parcels in the alloted carriage

New Delhi: Online shopping is the modern norm and no matter what age group or societal class, people simply love to scroll through the screen and shop at their own convenience, thanks to the affordable internet plans these days.

E-shopping consists of affordable buying to consumers paying worth lakhs on valuables, and hence the safe and secured delivery of the parcels is highly expected from the online shopping platforms.

However, a video clip of the Indian Railways employees carelessly tossing and mishandling delivery parcels with Amazon’s logo printed on them, while unloading the carriage has raised eyebrows on social media.

In the now-viral clip, several workers can be seen throwing Amazon parcels from a train carriage, flinging them carelessly in the air and creating a large pile of it on the platform. At a point, a parcel even crashed with the ceiling fan and came thrashing down to the ground.

A Twitter user named Abhishek Yadav shared the video with caption, “Amazon & Flipkart parcels”, along with a laughing emoji.

The clip has garnered over 2 million views so far and has left the users wondering if this is how their expensive order reach to them.

“There is my Asus gaming laptop worth 3lacks I think it’s right there”, a user wrote along with a Leonardo DiCaprio meme.

Another one said, “Why are they throwing the parcels like they are empty boxes? This is the main reason why parcels are not delivered in good quality. Sometimes the product comes damaged or the parcel”.

Meanwhile, as many blamed the Indian Railways for being careless and ignorant of their responsibilities, the Northeast Frontier unit came to the fore and clarified in a tweet that read, “This is an old video from March 2022. Rajdhani Express at Guwahati Station. The persons handling parcels are representatives of the concerned party. Railways offer booking of parcel space on a contract basis to various parties”.

It further added that it is the private party’s responsibility to load or unload their parcels in the alloted carriage and not of the railways.
