CM Rupani digitally lays foundation stone of 2 new plants of Varmora Group

Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani said that it is imperative that the ceramic industry be able to compete in the world market with low cost production and become more self-reliant through more exports.

New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani laid foundation stone of two new plants of Varmora Group through video conferencing from Gandhinagar.

Mr. Rupani said that, it is imperative that the ceramic industry be able to compete in the world market with low cost production and become more self-reliant through more exports.

State Government is committed to develop facilities including infrastructure development and provide necessary support for low-cost production to the ceramic industry of Morbi.

Mr. Rupani also briefed about the recent announcement made by the State Government to reduce the price of CNG gas for ceramic industries by up to Rs. 4.

The ceramic industry has expanded its business by developing new techniques on its own. Morbi’s ceramics industry, in particular, has made a name for itself in the world ceramics market.

Mr. Rupani said that MSME units of Saurashtra and Morbi are completely self-reliant in ceramic industries. Not only that, it also provides employment to many peoples.

The Chief Minister added that the industries of the region have moved ahead with the timely transformation from the industrial sector like Oil Mill, Sunmica and have now gained world fame in the ceramic industry.
