CM Rupani inaugurates Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Administrative Sankul

Rupani said that small municipalities in the state are also expanding the scope of e-services to make citizen-centric civic-centric services online. He said that our government is moving forwards in the direction of making corruption free and transparent administrative system.

New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minster Vijay Rupani today through a video conference from Gandhinagar inaugurated Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Administrative Sankul and launched Citizen Smart Card Service an initiative of Mandvi Municipality of Surat District.

Rupani said that small municipalities in the state are also expanding the scope of e-services to make citizen-centric civic-centric services online. He said that our government is moving forwards in the direction of making corruption free and transparent administrative system.

MP Prabhubhai Vasava as well as office bearers-corporators of Mandvi Municipality and officials of District Administration, Collector Mr. Dhawal Patel joined on the occasion from Mandvi.

The Chief Minister welcomed the innovative initiative of Mandvi of ‘Citizen’ Smart card in ‘D’ class small municipalities. This will benefit 7 thousand families of Mandvi Municipality. Important documents like Aadhaar card, ration card, election card and passport size photos will be kept safe in the digital locker with the consent of the family that too in free.

Congratulating the Municipal system Mr. Rupani said that, state government has started the e-Seva Setu so that the rural citizens do not have to visit the district headquarters for their work and get the required specimens and certificates from the panchayat house itself.

The Chief Minister said that the high band frequency connection of Gram Panchayats with Bharatnet of the Government of India provides about 35 different services online in the villages.

GoG is also committed to connect 8,000 villages with e- Seva Setu by upcoming December and to increase the scope of e-services from 35 to 51.

We have accelerated Ease of Living by developing transparent online services that allow people to work from home and not have to visit offices. ODPS system has also been started in Gujarat to approve the building construction maps online.

Mr. Rupani also said that strict implementation of Land Grabbing Prohibition Act has been started in the state.

Mandvi MP Mr. Prabhubhai Vasava, expressed confidence that this initiative of Mandvi as a ‘D’ class small municipality would be an inspiration for others.
