CM Rupani lays foundation stone and dedicates developmental works of Rs 432.92 crore in Rajkot

Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani said that Rajkot faced problems of water crisis in past, people hardly use to get pure drinking water. Today the waters of Narmada rivers have reached every house of Rajkot and the problem of water has been solved.

New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today laid foundation stones and dedicated developmental works of Rs. 432.92 crores of Rajkot Municipal Corporation. He also allocated Rs. 204.73 crores to Rajkot under the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhya Mantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana and allocated Rs. 33 crores for the Shehri Sadak Yojana.

The CM added that developmental works in Gujarat has never stopped, even during the Covid-19 pandemic time.

“Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, we were able to fight against Corona and stop the transition of Covid-19. The development of Gujarat has been kept running by strengthening the health infrastructure. In just last 6 months’ developmental works of more than Rs. 27 crores have been laid foundations stone or dedicated in the state,” CM Rupani said.

The Swarnim Jayanti Mukhya Mantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana (SJMMSVY) has been expanded with a provision of Rs. 35,460 crores till 2020 for the developmental works. Various projects will be completed this year under the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhya Mantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana with a provision of Rs. 4544 crores. In the last four years, works for more than 15,000 crores have been completed in the state under SJMMSVY. Our Government has always kept development at center.

82% of ‘Nal Se Jal’ scheme completed

Mentioning various works in Rajkot including new AIIMS, new GIDC, Janana Hospital, Super Specialty Hospital, Cancer Hospital, Rajkot-Ahmedabad six lane road, as well as Rajkot-Morbi four lane road, the Chief Minister said that we are also committed to make Rajkot smart city.

In order to ensure that the people of Gujarat do not face any problem of drinking water, the work of making Gujarat water rich has been undertaken through the “Nal Se Jal” scheme. In which 82 per cent of the work has been completed so far, and by 2022 the work will be completed to ensure that every household has access to drinking water through tap water connection.

416 houses of Pradhan Mantri Shri Awas Yojana and Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana were allotted by draw on the occasion. The CM inaugurated the “Hackathon-2021 Year of Ideas” competition and the Property Smart Card Project. As a symbol of which the property smart card was allotted to the beneficiaries.
