New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also entered the election battle of Chhattisgarh on Saturday. CM Yogi held four massive rallies in Bhanupratappur, Dongargaon, Pandariya and Kawardha and sought votes in favor of the Bharatiya Janata Party candidates. The first phase of elections is to be held here on November 7.
In a long diatribe against the Congress Party government of Chhattisgarh, the Chief Minister said that while its partner in Bihar did the fodder scam, Congress itself was responsible for the cow dung scam worth Rs 1300 crore in Chhattisgarh.
“A total of 16 lakh houses were reportedly provided by the government in Chhattisgarh, but the addresses of these houses are not known. Congress would never have created Chhattisgarh. It was done by revered Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. If BJP has created Chhattisgarh, it will also beautify it”, CM Yogi remarked.
He added: “Dr. Raman Singh succeeded in building the state in 15 years, but the Congress destroyed the state in five years. So, the preparations are complete for staging the comeback of BJP in Chhattisgarh because the party is necessary for Chhattisgarh. CM said that those who used to say that ‘we do not tell the date’, should know that “Ramlala we are coming and we are also telling the date of January 22.”
BJP created Chhattisgarh and the party will improve it further: Yogi
CM Yogi Adityanath held his first public meeting in Bhanupratappur where he appealed to voters to vote for BJP candidate Gautam Uike. The CM called upon the people of Chhattisgarh to take the pledge to bury the corruption of Congress. CM said that earlier Chhattisgarh government stood in the dock due to corruption in mining. Now there have been complaints of corruption in development schemes. Referring to the cow dung scam, he said that the Congress government grabbed Rs 1300 crore by buying cow dung from a place where there was no cow and selling it for Rs 10 per kg. A new scam is coming in the name of Mahadev App to grab money of 10 lakh people, he added. MP Mohan Mandvi was also present here.
Congress makes promises but does not give dates when it will fulfill them
Seeking votes for BJP candidate Bharat Lal Verma from Dongargaon Assembly constituency and BJP candidate Geeta Ghasi from Khujji, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Chhattisgarh is like a maternal home for the people of UP. “This is the birthplace of Mother Kaushalya. Lord Ram’s temple is being built in Ayodhya. Lord Ram will be seated in the temple by the Prime Minister in January. So, the festival should be held in Chhattisgarh also.”
CM said that Congress believes only in making tall promises to people. He said, “There is a dialogue in a film about date after date. Similarly, Congress makes promise after promise. We used to tell people that BJP people say that Ramlala, we will come, build the temple there but will not tell the date, but when Modi government came at the center and BJP government in UP, we did what we said. The temple is being built and the date is also being revealed that Ram Lalla will be seated in the temple on 22nd January, but the date of Congress does not come.” Chhattisgarh is one of the richest areas in terms of natural wealth, minerals, forests and water resources, but the Congress government has ruined it in five years, he remarked further.
BJP govt will come, will provide housing to 18 lakh poor
The third public meeting of Yogi Adityanath was held in Pandariya assembly constituency. Urging people to vote for BJP’s Bhavna Bohra, he said that the good governance government led by Modi ji is distributing the benefits of schemes equally to the entire country.
“Congress gave terrorism, Naxalism, corruption and anarchy to the country. Congress is the name of the problem due to which the poor, Dalits, deprived and tribals are all troubled. Congress has continuously been the centre of chaos in the country and Chhattisgarh. CM said that during its rule, the party failed to provide tap water to every house, but BJP has promised that it will provide tap water to the entire population.
“So far, 1.5 crore people in UP have been provided with pure tap water, but the Chhattisgarh government does not want to provide it. A total of 16 lakh houses were announced for for Chhattisgarh by Prime Minister Modi, but the money meant for the houses was devoured by the Congress government. In UP we have provided housing to 55 lakh poor people. If the government comes to power, BJP will provide Prime Minister House to 18 lakh poor people”, he said.
