New Delhi: As Bharat Jodo Yatra is soon about to enter Uttar Pradesh, Congress leader Salman Khurshid, in Moradabad, referred to Rahul Gandhi as Lord Ram. Describing Rahul Gandhi as Lord Ram, Salman Khurshid also the Congressmen as Ram’s brother Bharat. Khurshid is known for such statements and has been in headlines for talking about Bharat Jodo Yatra in UP.
Salman Khurshid was holding a press conference today where he said that sometimes one has to walk with the ‘Khadau’ of Lord Ram as Bharat did and if Khadaun has reached Uttar Pradesh, then Lord Ram will also come. He added that Rahul Gandhi is a superhuman and we have to walk behind him believing it.
Speaking on the statement made by the BJP on Bharat Jodo Yatra being organised to unite the Congress, he said that he thanks them and just let them know that the party is united. He added that earlier, whenever Naseemuddin Siddiqui used to come to Moradabad, he did not talk about me, but now we are united. He said that Congress workers respected Atal Bihari Vajpayee but no Congressman respects PM Modi. Talking about Gaurav Pandhi’s statement he said that this is not Congress’ view. Congress has remembered Atal ji but Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has still not remembered him.

On the Covid outbreak, Khurshid said that COVID-19 is not just coming for Congress and Bharat Jodo Yatra, and they are ready to follow the protocols.
Bharat Jodo Yatra is currently in New Delhi and will enter Uttar Pradesh on January 3. According to reports, Congress has invited opposition leaders in UP to join the march.
