Day 3 of No-Trust Vote: PM Modi’s reply in Lok Sabha today

Yesterday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reiterated in the House that PM will be present on Thursday (August 10) to reply to Opposition’s charges.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to reply to the Motion of No-Confidence Motion brought by the Opposition parties to corner the government over horrific videos, emanating from Manipur.

PM Modi’s address in the Lok Sabha would be around 4 PM today. The information was confirmed by personal twitter handle of the Prime Minister.

Yesterday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reiterated in the House that PM will be present on Thursday (August 10) to reply to Opposition’s charges. I.N.D.I.A block has been clamouring for Prime Minister’s presence in the House and also his reply over horror meted out to Manipur’s women and spate of violence plunging the state into anarchy.

The debate on Motion of No Confidence started in the Lower House on Tuesday, with Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi opening the debate on the issue. Yesterday, Rahul Gandhi launched scathing attack on PM Modi and Centre over 3-month bloody violence in the state and asked why the double engine govt utterly failed while questioning the ‘deafening silence’ of Prime Minister.

Rahul Gandhi, during his speech in LS, narrated the travails & tragic stories of people hit by ethnic violence and questioned why Prime Minister didn’t visit the violence-torn state and also how could CM Biren Singh could continue at post despite mindless violence for over 3 months now.

Modi’s old video of reply to No-Trust Vote

While the BJP is upbeat about PM Modi’s speech, with many claiming that Congress will repent bringing the No-Confidence Motion, a lot many netizens are also commenting upon it. A lot many see it as another opportunity for the Modi govt to roast the Congress.

In previous addresses, BJP top leadership including Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman and Smriti Irani have already lambasted the Congerss party for stalling the Parliament and blocking its proceedings over Manipur.

Meanwhile, an old Video of PM Modi has gone viral, where he could be seen replying to Motion of No-Confidence Motion, moved by Opposition in 2018.

In the video, PM Modi could be heard, deriding the grand old party by saying, “May you get enough strength to again bring another No-confidence Motion in 2023.”
