New Delhi: Delhi police has arrested two people including a minor at Delhi’s Mohan Garden for snatching and stealing mobile phones and bikes respectively.
The police also recovered two stolen bikes and four mobile phones from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Alok (23), who is on a parole while the minor (17) is a Haryanavi singer and has two previous involvements in heinous crimes.
On October 21, 2021, the duo snatched a mobile phone from a woman at Mohan Garden.
A team was constituted under the leadership of Inspector Rajesh Kumar Maurya, Station House Officer (SHO) Mohan Garden.
This was successfully done under operation “Varchasv”, the team Mohan Garden embarked upon stemming the menace of snatching in & around Gurdwara Road, Peepal Road & Najafgarh Road.
The promptitude, vigilance & professionalism of team of PS Mohan Garden comprising ASI Krishan, ASI Manoj, Ct Ashwani, Ct Naresh & Ct Sandeep resulted in the arrest of the snatcher due(including one CCL).
About the incident:
In the recent past spate of snatching’s took place in the above mentioned area, committed by bike borne duo—especially KTM bike. They used to ride in Dhoom Film style and had unleashed a terror.
In one such incident 0n 21.10.21 they snatched a mobile phone from one Ms Prachi, who later lodged an FIR.
Team Operation
A team comprising ASI Krishan, ASI Manoj, Ct Ashwani, Ct Naresh & Ct Sandeep was constituted under the leadership of Insp. Rajesh Kumar Maurya, SHO/Mohan Garden and overall supervision of ACP/Najafgarh. The CCTV footages of the place of incident and the route were thoroughly scanned and also shared with secret informers. On 24.10.21 the team succeeded in intercepting the (CCL) age 17 yrs at Vikrant Chowk, Mohan Garden along with stolen bike KTM DL-6SBC-4994 and snatched mobile phone. The bike was stolen from the Tilak Nagar. During further probe, co-accused Alok, age-23 years was also arrested and three more snatched mobile phones including one mobile phone in his possession. Another stolen Pulsar bike was also recovered.
