Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said that people supported our ideology of development and his government would provide new energy to further work for the upliftment of common masses.

New Delhi: Reiterating that his government is working with a development-oriented approach, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said that people supported our ideology of development and his government would provide new energy to further work for the upliftment of common masses.

While launching nearly 61 development projects worth Rs 144 crores at Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Park in Gorakhpur, Yogi said, “The BJP won all nine seats in Gorakhpur, this proves that people are in support of our development-oriented approach and have rejected negativity and people with mindset of creating divide on basis of caste, language or religion.”

Slamming the opposition parties he said that the public of Uttar Pradesh showed their support in favour of positivity, development and nationalism.

Among the projects launched in the presence of MP (Gorakhpur) Ravi Kishan, BJP MP Kamlesh Paswan, Jai Prakash Nishad, Sitaram Jaiswal and Dharmendra Singh, the projects are aimed at improving road safety, flood safety, easing vehicular congestion and include other development works in Gorakhpur.

“In total 61 projects, 40 were completed in a timely manner and are being launched today, while foundation stones of 21 new projects are also being laid which included projects related to drainage system, repair of dams,” said the CM.

Furthermore, he said that the pace of development works should not be hindered by any kind of obstacles as it not only causes adverse effects on the revenue of the state but also troubles the residents of the area. “We are working to rid Gorakhpur from issues like water-logging, floods during the monsoon season,” he added.

Listing the development initiatives taken in Gorakhpur, the Chief Minister said that AIIMS, fertilizer factory, newly-built roads, zoological park, beautification of Ramgarh Taal, among others are depicting Gorakhpur’s progress and government’s vision.

He called upon the people to work towards and participate in the development of the place by cooperating with the government and not to indulge in malpractices because of which the place was earlier infamous.

Today, Gorakhpur is known for its fast pace of development and to boost its development and make it inclusive in a manner that it is fit to live for future generations, collective efforts are required, he said.

He instructed the public representatives to be among the people, establish better communication and ensure that their actions fulfill the aspirations of the people. “If a public representative spends an hour daily to interact with the public, all the issues faced by the public will not only be addressed but also will be resolved timely,” said Yogi.

Development of a place is realised in the truest sense only when people are heard and justice and security is ensured to every individual. We are working to fulfil this objective, he concluded.
