New Delhi: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has been conferred with the most prestigious award by IIT Kanpur- Distinguished Alumnus Awards 2021.
The announcement was made by IIT Kanpur Director.
To which Ashwini Vaishnaw replied, “Honoured. Many thanks to@IITKanpur. IITs continue to shape and mould many generations of students.”
50-year-old Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament from Odisha Ashwini Vaishnaw took oath as a cabinet minister in a major reshuffle by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The bureaucrat turned politician, who has been given the charge of the railway ministry, was elected to the Upper House as a BJP candidate two years ago.
