Effective arrangements should be maintained for the prevention and treatment of Covid-19: UP CM Yogi Adityanath

UP CM Yogi Adityanath also directed to further strengthen contact tracing and surveillance system and said that all works related to the establishment of the cold chain for Covid-19 vaccine should be completed by December 15 in all the districts.

Lucknow: Instructing to ensure adherence to the Covid-19 guidelines, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said that effective arrangements should be maintained for the prevention and treatment of Covid-19.

The CM, who was presiding over a unlock review meeting at his official residence, also said that people should be continuously made aware about the precautions to be taken against Covid-19.

Public address systems, along with other publicity mediums, should be used to inform people about protecting themselves from Covid-19 and they should also be used at major markets and important places to spread awareness. The CM has also directed to intensify enforcement activities for making use of masks mandatory.

A special action plan should be prepared for effective control of Covid-19 infection in Lucknow and Meerut districts. The District magistrates and chief medical officers of all the districts should hold a review meeting regularly in the Covid hospitals in the morning and at the Integrated Command and Control Centre in the evening and make future strategies.

The CM also directed to further strengthen contact tracing and surveillance system and said that all works related to the establishment of the cold chain for Covid-19 vaccine should be completed by December 15 in all the districts.

He has also given instructions that home isolation should not be allowed for elderly, respiratory patients, pregnant women, people suffering from various diseases and small children who are infected with Covid-19.
