New Delhi: Amid the ongoing row over the Gyanvapi Masjid case and the Taj Mahal, a new controversy has erupted related to Qutub Minar in India. It is reported that the Archaeological Survey of India has ordered a survey to ascertain if the tower was built by Qutab al-Din Aibak or Chandragupta Vikramaditya.

On the controversy, Union Culture Minister GK Reddy issued a clarification to the media that ”no such decision has been taken” by the authority.
