No breakthrough in Govt-farmers talks, deadlock continues; next round of talks on January 8

Despite rains and the ongoing cold wave across North India, farmers agitating against the Centre’s farm laws stood strong at the borders of the national capital and continued their protest for the last 39 days.

New Delhi: The seventh round of meeting between the Central government and farmers’ representatives is underway at Vigyan Bhawan.
Farmers’ leaders and officials present at the meeting observed silence to pay condolence to the farmers who died during the ongoing protest.
