G20 Summit: Joe Biden to Rishi Sunak & more, where world delegates will stay in Delhi

For next 3 days, India will be a hosting leaders of world superpowers including US President Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, French President Emmanuel Macron & more.

New Delhi: The Group of Twenty (G 20) Summit is set to kick off in the national capital from September 8. India, assuming the role of G20 Presidency on December 1, 2022, is welcoming the top world leaders with open arms, even as stringent security measures have been put in place for the high-level summit.

The national capital has undergone a big makeover with elaborate beautification drive for the upcoming event. Over 3500 rooms have been booked in 25 five-star hotels of the capital & Gurugram, where the country heads will be staying.

For next 3 days, India will be a hosting leaders of world superpowers including US President Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, French President Emmanuel Macron & more.

Moreover, delegates of 9 other nations will also be present during the 2-day Summit. They include Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, Spain, and the United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, Netherlands.

Here are list of global leaders & their stay at 5-star hotels:

US President Joe Biden

US President Joe Biden will be staying at ITC Maurya Sheraton in Chankyapuri. Biden is set to hold bilateral talks with PM Modi, where clean energy and climate change is likely to be the top agenda.

Reports suggest that US President would be staying at 14th of the sprawling property while the commandoes of US Secret Service will be present on all floors of the hotel.

UK PM Rishi Sunak

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak would be staying at Shangri-La Eros Hotel in Cannaught Place. This will be Sunak’s first trip to India after becoming UK Prime Minister. According to reports, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz would also be staying at the same hotel.

China premier Li Qiang

Taj Palace in Chanakypuri has been booked for Chinese delegation. After Chinese President Xi Jinping opted out, Chinese PM Li Qiang will be attending the Summit. Brazil delegation is also likely to stay at the same property.

Australia PM Anthony Albanese

Australian PM Anthony Albanese will be attending the high-profile conclave in India while being on a three-nation tour. He will be staying at Delhi’s Imperial hotel.

French President Emmanuel Macron

Claridges Hotel is all set to host the French President Emmaneul Macron during the two-day G20 Summit.
