Ghulam Nabi Azad: Rahul Gandhi’s decisions come from his security guards, PA

Ghulam Nabi Azad wrote in his letter to the Congress Chief that all the important decisions of Rahul Gandhi are coming from his security guards and PA.

New Delhi: Ghulam Nabi Azad, who quit the Congress on Friday, has written in his letter to the Congress Chief that all the important decisions of Rahul Gandhi are coming from his security guards and PA. In the letter, Azad openly blamed Rahul Gandhi that he is not happy with Gandhi’s leadership.

The 73-year-old leader blamed that the situation in the party has only worsened since the 2019 general election. He added that tearing up a government ordinance in front of the media by Rahul Gandhi shows his childish behaviour.

In the letter, Azad said that this one single action more than anything else contribute significantly to the defeat of the UPA Government in 2014. He further said that Rahul Gandhi’s decision to step down as the President of the Indian National Congress was insulting to senior party functionaries.

Congress

”One of the most glaring examples of this immaturity was the tearing up of a government ordinance in the full glare of the media by Shri Rahul Gandhi. The said ordinance was incubated in the Congress Core Group and subsequently unanimously approved by the Union Cabinet presided over by the Prime Minister of India and duly approved even by the President of India. This childish behaviour completely subverted the authority of the Prime Minister and the Government of India. This one single action more than anything else contribute significantly to the defeat of the UPA Government in 2014 which was at the receiving end of a campaign of calumny and insinuation from a combination of the forces of the right-wing and certain unscrupulous corporate interests,” read the letter of Gulam Nabi Azad.
