New Delhi: A 29 year-old woman eloped with a 15-year old boy in Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh. The news has shocked the city as the woman is the mother of 3 children while the boy was just a class 8 student. After their family members confirmed about their escape, search has begun to trace them.
Both the families searched for them till Thursday before going to the police on Friday evening. After they reached out to the police a FIR (First Information Report) was lodged and the probe was started.
According to the sources, the duo was in a relationship for past one year but due to the age gap, no one suspected that something of this scale was brewing. A case has been lodged against the woman after boy’s family filed a complaint. The case has been lodged under the IPC section 363 (Punishment for kidnapping) and IPC section 365 (Kidnapping or abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine a person).
Circle Officer Campierganj, Rahul Bhati said, “A case has been registered against the woman on the complaint of boy’s family. We are trying to trace them.”
Husband also told the police that the woman’s behavior towards him had changed for some time, but he didn’t imagine that something like this will happen.
