Groom walks out of wedding ceremony over band’s payment in UP’s Shahjahanpur

New Delhi: Weddings are incomplete without music, food fun and of course drama, there is no wedding in which we cannot find Melo drama. Whether it’s completing any ritual or taking any responsibility, family member leaves no chance to tease and fight with each other.

We all have listened to stories about how sister in law asked for money from her brother-in-law after stealing the groom’s shoes which is a very known ritual.

But ever heard about the groom negotiating at his own wedding?  Well sounds weird right.

In Shahjahanpur, UP, a groom walked away from his own wedding because of a dispute held between his and bride’s side on how is going to pay.

The dispute started when Dharmendra had brought his baraat from Kampil in Farrukhabad to Mirzapur.

During the wedding rituals, the band demanded money from the groom’s side, but they refused to pay saying it should be paid off by the bride’s side.

This resulted in a heated dispute between family members, and apparently, the groom’s pride got hurt and he walked away of his procession breaking the necklace he was wearing.

The bride’s side too severed the relations with the groom’s family after the incident.

Well, nowadays weddings are called off on any issue. In June 2021 a bride called off her wedding ceremony in Uttar Pradesh’s Auraiya, when she came to know that her husband got such poor eyesight that without glasses he can not even read the newspaper.
