New Delhi: A nine-year-old was brutally murdered in Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit district.
According to police sources, the abdomen of the little girl was cut open and her internal organs were scattered in a wheat field near Madhavpur village in the district.
Police said that the minor had gone with her uncle on Friday evening to visit a ‘urs’ but did not return home.
The family members said that they kept looking for her the entire night and they managed to find her on Saturday.
She was soon rushed to the hospital as she was still breathing, she also tried to name her attacker but she succumbed to her injuries.
Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Prabhu also rushed to the spot where the minor was found to take stock of the situation.
An FIR has been registered against the local villager named Shaqil Vaistava, and he has been taken into custody.
SP Prabhu said a blood-stained knife was recovered from a few distances away from the murder spot. Following this, the necessary evidence was collected by the forensic team.
