Gujarat CM announces development projects worth Rs 46 crore for transport department

Gujarat CM dedicated projects worth Rs 46 crore which includes 4 modern bus stand, 2 ST workshop, 1 Employees colony and 5 RTO’s newly constructed buildings.

New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani dedicated various development projects related to state transport department through video conferencing. In presence of Transport Minister R. C. Faladu and minister of state for Transport Ishwarsinh Patel, CM dedicated projects worth Rs 46 crore which includes 4 modern bus stand, 2 ST workshop, 1 Employees colony and 5 RTO’s newly constructed buildings.

Out of all dedicated projects, 4 Bus stands of Mansa, Lakhani, Sankheda and Kukarmunda, Bus Depot in Naliya and Gadhda and newly constructed RTO office buildings of Devbhumi-Dhwarka, Gir-Somnath, Anand and Chhota Udaipur were inaugurated by CM through digital platform from his residence.

On this occasion, CM praised state transport employees who have served people of Gujarat even in the prevailing situation of Corona outbreak. In addition, CM said that the development journey of Gujarat will never stop and state will always continue to its tradition of turning disaster into opportunity.

The Chief Minister made it clear that ST Corporation is a means of serving the people and without worrying about profit and loss, the state government is committed to provide easy and cheap transport service to the remote areas as well. He clearly said that Gujarat has become a leader in the country in providing transparent and fast services with the use of advanced technology in the transport sector.

Now, with the modern technological approach like GPS system in ST buses, online monitoring, easy travel pass to students and also online appointment in license issue through RTO, online payment at home, civic services have become easier and more comprehensive.

Vijay Rupani proudly mentioned that the government has developed a fast and transparent work culture under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister also expressed the planning of placing environmentally friendly 30 E buses in the service of people in the state.

Transport Minister R.C. Faldu said that under the visionary leadership of the Chief Minister, the Department of Transport is achieving more and more public convenience achievements and hoped that these new bus stands would become a new milestone in the service of the travelling public of the state.
