Gujarat CM, Dy CM visit Bhavnagar; review Corona situation with district administration

The Chief Minister said that, as a part of proactive measure at least two districts to be visited in a week to get the details of the situation and consult for precautionary steps.

New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel chaired a review meeting with the officials of the district administrative as well with the public representatives to assess the overall situation regarding the transition as well the control of Corona in Bhavnagar district, he also gave necessary instructions regarding the same.

Addressing media Rupani said that the state government has been working with full potency since the first case was registered in the state to prevent the transmission of corona and also to treat the infected.

From last five months, every evening a high power core group meeting is been held at residency and various decisions are been taken and implemented.

The Chief Minister said that, as a part of proactive measure at least two districts to be visited in a week to get the details of the situation and consult for precautionary steps.

Screenting/Testing increased in Bhavnagar

The Chief Minister said that, the transition of Corona is under control, sufficient injections are also available. Out of the total import of injections 55% are imported by Gujarat.

The number of corona testing in the state is constantly increasing, according to the World Health Organization, 400 people are being tested for every 10 lakh people.Currently about 25000 tests are being done every day in the state.

The Chief Minister directed to check the health of the people by going to the densely populated areas through DhanvantariRath in Bhavnagar city. It is a unique initiative of the State Government, which is also been noted by World Health Organization.

The number of corona tests in Bhavnagar district would be increased and screening at checkposts on the border of the district would be intensified.

CM’s clear instructions to hospitals on fire safety

Chief Minister made it clear that orders have been issued to ensure fire safety in hospitals across the state, including Covid Dedicated Hospital. Strict action has also been directed against hospitals where fire safety provisions are not complied with.

Mr. Rupani said that Gujarat has a recovery rate of 75.4 percent and a mortality rate of 3.5 percent and Gujarat ranks 12th in the country in the transition to corona compared to other states.He also requested the media to spread awareness among the citizens to maintain social distance, use masks compulsorily and cultivate good habits of frequent hand-washing and sanitization.
