Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani along with wife offer prayers at Somnath Temple

Offering prayers at the first among the 12 Jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva, Mr Rupani said that, “I have offered prayer and worshiped for the welfare of the people of the state especially from Covid-19. Nation and Gujarat will be back on track after the fight from Corona.”

New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani along his wife Mrs Anjaliben Rupani offered prayers at the renowned Somnath Temple on Thursday. They offered the jalabhishek and participated in Dhwaja puja and mahapuja in the temple premises.

Offering prayers at the first among the 12 Jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva, Mr Rupani said that, “I have offered prayer and worshiped for the welfare of the people of the state especially from Covid-19. Nation and Gujarat will be back on track after the fight from Corona.”

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was elected as the Chairman of Somnath Trust which would help to accelerate the developmental works.

Recalling the contributors for the development of Somnath Temple, Mr. Rupani said that there has been a special importance of first among the 12 Jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva.

CM Rupani also inspected the work of promoned (walkway) for which the foundation stone was laid at a cost of Rs 45 crores with Mr Vijaysinh Chavda, General Manager, Somnath Trust. Mr. Rupani held a meeting with the office bearers and leaders of the fishing community. The All India Fishermen’s Association of Gujarat handed over a check of Rs 25,000 to the Chief Minister for Kanya Kelavani Nidhi.

CM Rupani was also felicitated by the General Manager of Somnath Trust.
