New Delhi: Ahead of the results of the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh elections, all eyes are on exit polls to predict the winning party and runner-ups. The date of the exit polls has been set for today i.e December 5. Before we tell you the timing for exit polls, we must tell you that voting in Himachal Pradesh has already been done on November 12.
In Gujarat, the voting for the first phase was completed on December 1 while the second face is currently underway.

Notably, the timing to release the exit poll after 6:30 PM has been directed by the Election Commission (EC) considering the undergoing polling in Gujarat. Earlier on November 12, the EC also announced the same timing for the exit polls in Himachal Pradesh.

According to the EC, Himachal Pradesh received 75.6% voting. The highest polling percentage was recorded in the Doon assembly at 85.25%.
Gujarat voter turnout
In phase 1 of voting, Gujarat recorded a 63% turnout, lower than the year 2017. The highest turnout was registered in the Narmada district at 78.24%.
The voting for the second phase is still ongoing.
