New Delhi: It’s the second consecutive year of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Launched on July 22, 2022, the unique initiative was launched by Modi government to instill a sense of nationality & patriotism among common masses by facilitating display of national flag at every household in the country.
The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was a big success last year, as people eagerly came forward and participated in it. Available data suggests that about 23 crore families displayed the national flag at their houses.
This year also, Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is being celebrated with active contribution of Parliamentarians & ministers in Modi government. Today, a ‘Tiranga bike rally’ was organized in Delhi, which saw participation of Ministers Anurag Thakur & Kishan Reddy.
Citizens can also partake in the campaign by showcasing their affinity & love for the National flag. You can buy your Tiranga from the marketplace and proudly flaunt on your terrace or balcony.
Buy Tiranga at Rs 25 from Post-office
The government has also facilitated the availability of Tiranga at your doorstep. You can buy it at Rs 25 from a post-office, nearest to your home.
There is no GST levied on purchase & selling of National flag. Over 1.6 lakh post offices across the country are expected to part of this drive.
In the second year of Tiranga campaign, the government has plans to break last year’s record of selling around 4.5 lakh national flags. As more than 1.5 post offices will be selling Tiragana to common people, many selfie points have also been created at multiple centres, where people can flaunt their ‘Indian-ness’ by clicking a selfie with the flag.
How to order National Flag for Rs 25 from India Post
Each Indian flag measures 20 inches * 30 inches in size. You can order the same online from Post Offices. Below are the steps:
1. Go to India Post portal, get registered as a user
2. Visit the National Flag product page on the portal
3. Add the product to shopping cart and enter shipping information
4. Make a payment of Rs 25 and your order will be booked. Flag will be sent to the given location.
