New Delhi: The horrific landslide in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh on Sunday was enough to frighten you to the core. As video footage of the landslide landed on social media, people were unnerved to watch the scary avalanche, happening just near a residential locality.
The momentous landslide damaged cars in the parking while demolished a footbridge. At least 9 people were killed in the landslide. Among those who died included an Ayurvedic doctor named Deepa Sharma, who had tweeted her photo, minutes before the unfortunate incident.
The doctor was on way to Spiti to celebrate her 38th birthday on July 29. She posted a photo of herself at Nagasti ITBP check-post at 12.59 PM. Sometime later, the frightening landslide occurred, reportedly killing her on the spot.
