
New Delhi: Locals hurled slippers at Ibrahimpatnam MLA Manchireddy Kishan Reddy and other Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) workers on Thursday (October 15) , during their visit to flood-affected Medipally area.
According to a local media reports, the MLA’s convoy was denied entry by the locals and demanded to stop the land acquisition for the pharmaceutical industry.
Following which, Police lathi-charged and detained a few protesters who were present at the spot.

According to Telangana Chief Minister’s Office, “Due to heavy rains and flash floods all over the state 50 people died, the officials informed. Telangana Chief Minister said that in the submerged areas, Rice, pulses, and other essential commodities, food, and three Quilts per house should be distributed from the government side.”
