Namrata Khanna, Director, India Honey Alliance, said, “Of late, India has become one of the world’s most important honey markets because of the huge beekeeping potential that the country possesses. Therefore, the holistic development of the beekeeping sector is of utmost importance.

The sector has immense potential to benefit the farming community on a large scale by creating a sustainable income for beekeepers and generating employment for landless farmers too.

There is a need to increase awareness of its benefits to humans & the environment. It is important to understand the world of bees for a happy co-existence. Considering all these points, IHA is bringing together several industry experts on one platform where they will discuss the potential ways and means to create a robust, transparent, and long-term strategy for organizing the beekeeping sector.”
