
New Delhi: Indian photojournalist Danish Siddiqui, who worked for Retuers, was killed in clashes in Spin Boldak district of Kandahar on Friday, reports said.
The Indian journalist was covering the situation in Kandahar over last few days.
He was also the recipient of Pulitzer Prize in 2018 for his exceptional coverage of Rohingya refugees.

Farid Mamundzay, Afghan Ambassador to India has expressed condolences over the demise of Indian journalist and said that he was deeply disturbed over the loss of a friend.

Umashankar Singh, a senior journalist, shared a video of Danish Seddiqui covering the clashes in Afghanistan’s Kandahar. The video was tweeted by Seddiqui himself, two days ago.
