‘Metro Man’ E Sreedharan (in file photo) will be BJP’s Chief Minister candidate in the upcoming Kerala Assembly Elections 2021, said State BJP chief K Surendran.
Sreedharan, 88, joined the BJP last week. BJP state president K Surendran, currently on a state-wide political tour, Vijay Yatra, announced the decision. “The party will soon release a list of other candidates as well,” he said.
The single-phase election in Kerala will take place on 6th April 2021 and the counting of votes will be held on 2nd May 2021.
Kerala has 140 Assembly seats. The term of the Legislative Assembly of Kerala will come to an end on 1st June 2021.
