Lantern has cracked, oil has spilled: Rajnath flays grand alliance

Bihar polls 2020: Addressing a public rally, Rajnath said, “The lantern (RJD) has cracked and oil has spilled. Now, hands (Congress) and their games will not work.”

New Delhi: Defence Minister and senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh on Wednesday hit out at Congress-RJD alliance Mahagathbandhan over ‘the reign of terror’ during 15 years of Lalu regime.

Addressing a public rally in Kahalgaon, he said that the games of grand alliance won’t work in elections as people have made up minds to stick with growth model under NDA leadership.

In the battleground Bihar, top BJP leaders are canvassing for the return of Nitish-led NDA for the record fourth term. Addressing the rally, Rajnath said, “The lantern (RJD) has cracked and oil has spilled. Now, hands (Congress) and their games will not work.”

Defence Minister also said that around 25 lakh people in Bihar are receiving benefits under Ayushman Bharat Scheme.

“Around 25 lakh people in the state of Bihar are receiving benefits under Ayushman Bharat Scheme. There will come a time when everyone in Bihar will receive healthcare benefits from the scheme,” said Defence Minister Singh.

Bihar with 243 assembly seats will go to polls in three phases: October 28, November 3 and November 7. The results will be declared on November 10.
