New Delhi: Maha Shivaratri is one of the main festivals of the Hindu religion and it is celebrated with lots of excitement in the whole country. People and devotees of Lord Shiv wait for this festival for the entire year to seek blessings of Lord Shiva. There are many theories related to the history of Maha Shivaratri. Some people believe that Maha Shivaratri is celebrated to remember the day when lord Shiv drank poison to protect the world from evil, negativity and darkness. The festival is celebrated on the 14th day of the dark half of the lunar month of Phalguna or Magha. We’ll tell you about some simple remedies to attain money, fame and wealth on this special day.

The first and most important thing is to make a shiv ling with mud, for this you will have to get the mud from either a ‘Pipal Tree’ or from some river. Now you will perform puja with this shiv ling.

You will have to keep fast on that day. You cannot have salt, you can only have sweet things or fruits. Avoid having Masoor Dal on that day. People who are facing problems in marriage, should take some kesar and put it in raw milk and offer it to lord shiva and chant the mantra ‘Jai Jai Giriraj Kishori’ 51 times.

People who are suffering from money problems, must get around 1 litre sugarcane juice and 5 pieces of Kamal Gatta and offer it to lord shiva.

For all those who are suffering from some serious illness and not getting any help from medication should chant Maha Mrityunjay Mantra and Mrit Sanjeevni Mantra while performing puja. Take some ‘Kusha’ grass in water and offer it to lord shiv.

People who are facing problems with their spouse should keep a ‘Shiv Darbar’ photo and tie a red cloth with that photo and shiv ling. You can also chant ‘Shiv Sahastranam’ while performing puja.

People who want to have their own house, must offer ‘Kheer’ to lord shiva and also donate some money for the construction of a temple.

People who want to have a govt job, or want to move outside India, should get a bronze bell and offer it to the shiv temple.

People with ‘Kaal Sarp Dosh’ must get a silver ‘Naag Nagin’ and offer it to lord shiva and then look for some river and pour it in the river.
