New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah took stock of the situation in Manipur by dialling to CM N Biren Singh. He has spoke to CM N Biren Singh after law and order was disrupted after tribal groups took out rallies in several districts.

Sources said a few companies of RAF have been dispatched to the state, however, adequate number of Army and paramilitary forces are already deployed there to control the situation.

In a video message, Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that the state governmrnt is taking all steps to control the situation.

He also said that the incident erupted due to prevailing misunderstanding between two sections of society in the state.

Earlier, Boxing champion Mary Kom also appealed and urged the Centre to help her state which she said is “burning”.

In a video message, she also said that she was not feeling good about the situation in her state. She said the situation in her state has deterioted.

She also said that it is unfortnate that some people lost their family members in this violence
