New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made an explosive claim on Thursday, claiming that Manish Sisodia will be arrested next in a fake case. Citing a ‘reliable source’, the CM claimed that the Centre will frame Sisodia in a fake corruption case & then arrest him.
Manish Sisodia is Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and holds charges of maximum departments after the CM.
The startling allegation has sparked a major controversy as this comes soon on the back of Delhi Health Minister’s arrest over money laundering charges.
“Reliable sources have suggested to me that Manish Sisodia is going to be arrested soon. The Central govt has ordered all agencies to form fake cases against him,” CM Kejriwal told press today.
While making a premonition about arrest & slamming the Centre’s vindictiveness, Kejriwal lavishly praised Sisodia and asserted that he was the Best Education Minister that the country had in Independent India.
He said that Sisodia has worked really hard to bring sea-change in Delhi government schools and if anyone has doubt can ask the guardians ‘whether he is corrupt?’
Case that is making AAP ‘worried’
Kejriwal raising the pitch against Centre stems from the case related to misappropriation of funds in the construction of government schools in capital. A complaint to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (dated May 23, 2022) says that schools were built at highly inflated costs in Delhi, resulting in loss of Rs 2,000 crore to the exchequer.
Smriti Irani tears into ‘conspiracy theorists’
Soon after Kejriwal’s startling charges, Union Minister Smriti Irani took to Twitter to dismiss the charges and said that the ‘conspiracy theorists’ are back in the game, a dig at AAP’s objection to Jain’s arrests & giving him clean chit.
The Union Minister also demanded that the Delhi Chief Minister gives answers to 10 pointed questions she asked over Satyendra Jain’s arrest.
Conspiracy theorist strikes back!
By not answering a single pointed question, Kejriwal Ji has in a way admitted to the Hawala nexus of his Minister.
It would be easier to come out ‘clean’ for once instead of peddling fake sob stories which do not have any takers anymore.

The Minister also challenged the Chief Minister to come clean on the hawala transactions of arrested minister and not indulge in sob stories to gain public sympathy.
AAP has maintained that the Centre wants to infuse fear by misusing govt agencies but this will turn futile. It claims that the BJP, fearing wipe-out in Himachal Pradesh elections, directed the ED to arrest Satyendra Jain.
