New Delhi: Almost 2 weeks have passed since Ayesha Banu Makrani killed herself by jumping into the Sabarmati river, after recording a suicide video. The heart-rending incident continues to create wave of sympathy, with thousands demanding stringent punishment for her abusive husband.
However, chilling details continue to spill out in public domain in the suicide case that left the nation shocked and outraged.
Ayesha’s lawyer Jaffar Pathan presented a letter in court which reveal shocking details of how Ayesha was harassed and tormented by her husband.
‘Locked up in room without food for 4 days’
Ayesha’s lawyer presented the letter written by her that she wrote to husband Arif but couldn’t dispatch it to him.
“My love Aaru (Aarif). I was shattered when you linked my name with Asif. He is my best friend and brother. When I was locked up in a room, there was no one to ask me for food. And, this happened for 4 long days,” the letter said.
She further wrote, “I never breached your faith. But, you have ruined two lives. I wasn’t wrong, it was your attitude & behaviour that ruined everything. I fell for your eyes, and why I loved you so much, will tell you in next life.”

“Lost my little Aaru because of you,” Ayesha in her last letter“When I was pregnant, you never looked after me. Rather, you thrashed me. Because of this, I lost my little Aaru, Now, I don’t want to live,” she wrote in the letter.
Days ago, Ayeshá’s lawyer had made startling revelations before media. He said that he used to talk to another girl in presence of his wife.
‘Go die & send me video of your death,’ husband told Ayesha
Ahmedabad Police accessed 70-minute call recording in which her husband where Arif, can be heard telling Ayesha, “Go die and send me a video of your death”.
It is said that Ayesha talked with her husband before taking the extreme step. It has been revealed Ayesha spoke to him for 70 minutes before jumping to death.

Before she jumped in the river, she recorded a last message but didn’t blame anyone and said that she is glad she will meet Allah.

After ending the video and sending it to her family, she jumped off the bridge into the river. When the family received the video, they called the police immediately. But they were too late as she had drowned already.
