New Delhi: Gaining popularity on social media has been an obsession of this generation for quite some time now. People resort to all sorts of ways in a bid to achieve instat fame. Sometimes it can acquire you overnight stardom, other times, you can find yourself in big trouble and be booked under criminal offences.
A woman from Delhi shot a few dance videos with her minor son and uploaded them on social media. This sounded adorable at first instance but the visuals in the dance videos are highly vulgar and obscene. This amounts to exposing the minor child to highly objectionable and obscene conduct at a tender age and can’t be accepted in a civilized society.
Now, the Delhi Commission for Women has intervened in the matter and have issued a notice to the Delhi Police to lodge an FIR against the woman.
“The child, in this case, is taught to objectify women at such young age by her own mother. Such content is shameful and highly objectionable in civilized society” DCW said in its press release.
The videos were posted on Instagram and were later deleted by the woman after backlash from the social media users. The woman who uploaded the videos has 1.6 lakh+ followers on Instagram.
DCW Chairperson Swati Maliwal has asked the police to take strict action against the woman and delete the online content immediately. She further said that the minor will be provided genuine counseling and rehabilitation.
