New Delhi: 17 year old teenage girl from Vishakhapatnam allegedly died by jumping off the college building after she was sexually harassed by her own college mates. The accused allegedly took nude pictures of the girl while committing the act and threatened to post the photos if she reveals about the heinous act to anyone. The girl left a long text message for her family before ending her life. The girl also mentioned that she couldn’t raise a complain to the authorities or police as they have threatened to post them in the internet.
The victim also alleged that there were others girls also who were harassed by the same men in college. The tenage girl was a student of a Polytechnic in Vishakhapatnam. The family of the victim got worried about the girl when they received a call from the college that the she is missing since afternoon. The family then informed the Police. The victim however responded to their messges around midnight and asked them not to be tensed. She told them, listen i can’t tell you why am leaving, even if i do tell you, you won’t be able to understand. She said am sorry mom and dad and am grateful that you gave birth to me and brought me. She wrote the entire thing in Telugu. In last she added that my chapter is coming to an end.
She wished Good Luck to her elder sister who was expecting and said did focus on your future and don’t get distrcted like me. Always be happy and have a Good life. The girl particulatly addressed her father and wrote, am taking this step because am harassed in college, you may think why i didn’t approch the authorities, but that won’t help. There were other girls also like me, we couldn’t go to the Police or to the college.. we are caught up in between. They will put our pictures in Social Media.
Meanwhile the father has filed a complaint. The College Principal said that we have wardens here who keep an eye all the time, men are not allowed in this college. Police is questioning other students as well.
