New Delhi: The Indian Navy on Wednesday said that a MiG 29K fighter aircraft crashed over sea on a routine sortie off Goa coast after it developed a technical malfunction while returning to base.

However, the Pilot was ejected safely and was recovered in a swift search and rescue operation.

According to the reports, the Pilot is reported to be in a stable condition.

Indian Navy said that a Board of Inquiry (BoI) has been ordered to investigate the cause of the incident.
