NCP core panel rejects Sharad Pawar’s resignation, calls for his reinstatement as party chief

NCP’s national vice-president Praful Patel made an announcement about core panel rejecting Sharad Pawar’s resignation and said that all members will request him to stay as party chief.

New Delhi: The core committee of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) holding a crucial meet today over Sharad Pawar’s shock exit as party president, passed a proposal to reinstate him as the party chief. The core committee made a unanimous decision to approach the NCP supremo and request him to keep the reins of party with himself.

The meeting was attended by top leaders of the party including Supriya Sule, Ajit Pawar, Chhagan Bhujbal, Praful Patel & more.

NCP’s national vice-president Praful Patel made an announcement about core panel rejecting Sharad Pawar’s resignation and said that all members will request him to stay as party chief.

As Patel made the announcement in front of agitating NCP workers, there was celebration & jubilation. NCP workers burst firecrackers outside the party office.

Patel told newsmen, “Several leaders including me met Pawar Saheb and requested him to rethink his decision as the country and party needs him at this hour. Not only NCP leaders but other leaders also want him to continue as party chief.”

The NCP core committee comprised of members like Ajit Pawar, Supriya Sule , Praful Patel, Jayant Patil, Chhagan Bhujbal, Dilip Walse Patil, Anil Deshmukh, Rajesh Tope and others.

NCP workers want Pawar to stay at helm

Many NCP workers, upset over Sharad Pawar quitting as party president, are demonstrating outside the party office and demanding that the veteran Maharashtra politician takes back his resignation.

Yesterday, Sharad Pawar met a couple of agitating party workers & sought to placate them by saying that it was time for young generation to guide the party and he was not exiting from political life but will continue to remain an active soldier of the party.
