No attack on Mamata in Nandigram, her car rammed into a pillar: Eyewitnesses tells a TV channel (VIDEO)

An eyewitness to the incident told a TV news channel that the incident actually happened in Burulia market of Nandigramm, where her vehicle rammed into a pillar. He categorically said there was no attack on Chief Minister’s convoy.

New Delhi: Hours after West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee got injured after an alleged attack on her by 3-4 men and TMC terming it a planned conspiracy, conflicting reports are pouring in.

Mamata, talking to reporters, said that she was manhandled by 3-4 men in Nandigram. She also said that these men tried to run over her leg as there was no security, not even local cops.

However, few eyewitnesses to the incident told a TV news channel that the incident actually happened in Burulia market of Nandigram and there was no attack on her convoy.

These men claim that they were present at the spot when Didi’s car veered off the street and hit a pillar in the Burulia market in Nandigram.

They said “Mamata’s vehicle rammed into a pillar, which led to her getting injured”.

Eyewitness also countered another theory of ‘no security around Didi’. They claimed that policemen were following Mamata’s convoy.

“As Didi got injured, some ice was also brought from a nearby mithai shop,” said the eyewitnesses.

Politics is already peaking over alleged attack on West Bengal CM amid the heat of campaigning. TMC is calling a planned conspiracy by political rivals while BJP termed it a drama to gain public sympathy.

“This election gimmick shows TMC’s frustration and its feeling that it is about to lose Bengal elections,” said a senior BJP leader.

CM Mamata reaches Kolkata hospital

Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee has reached Kolkata hospital for treatment. A team of 5 doctors have been constituted at SSKM Hospital for her treatment and that includes a cardiologist, a doctor in the neuro department, orthopedic and medical specialist.
