New Delhi: Sanjeev Kapoor, a celebrity chef, slammed Air India for its in-flight food on Monday. The chef resorted to Twitter to speak about the cuisine he was offered on a flight from Nagpur to Mumbai. The chef claimed he was served cold chicken tikka with cucumber and watermelon, a sandwich with insignificant contents, and a dessert that was only “sugar syrup.”
He tweeted images of the meal, writing, “Wake up @airindiain. Nagpur-Mumbai 0740 flight. Sandwich with a little stuffing of minced cabbage with mayo, Sugar syrup Sponge coated with sweetened cream, and yellow glaze.”
“Really!!!” he added in a second tweet. “Is this what Indians eat for breakfast?”
Mr. Kapoor’s tweet has yet to be responded to by Air India.
Meanwhile, this has triggered the netizens to disagree with the fact that the chef has tweeted. Responding to his tweet, the micro-blogging users have trolled the star chef with savage replies. One of them has wrote, ” The day is not that far when the Airlines will have to carry gas, stove, microwave to serve the passenger’s taste and their foolishness. @SanjeevKapoor”.

And forget what Indians eat…there are people in our country sleeping without eating.
As far as @airindiain is concerned there are thousands of passengers who enjoy the meal without sharing it on Twitter.— Neha Singh (@SinNeha19) February 27, 2023
Sir, Flight are no more looked upon as a healthy or satisfying breakfast/lunch/dinner place. An average Indian is happy just if the flight is on time. No more expectations.

I disagree. I flew Air India Express yesterday from DEL-DXB. Meal was amazing (prebooked veg lunch). Even got a complementary snack box even after having a paid meal and atleast 4 bottles of water. Air India is getting undue criticism.
