On the Gaganyaan Mission, a Top Official from ISRO Said, “We Have Roadmap, Launch Soon…”

During his presentation at the occasion, Mr Veeramuthuvel said that a soft landing is a technology in and of itself. India is the fourth nation to achieve this milestone. They were able to master it. When this occurs, only human exploration will be feasible.

New Delhi: Following the accomplishments of the Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya L1 missions, India is currently considering carrying out human space exploration. When asked about the Gaganyaan mission, the head of the Chandrayaan-3 project, P Veeramuthuvel, said that a plan is available and that the launch would occur shortly.

During his presentation at the occasion, Mr Veeramuthuvel said that a soft landing is a technology in and of itself. India is the fourth nation to achieve this milestone. They were able to master it. When this occurs, only human exploration will be feasible.

“You know Gaganyaan program is coming up. It’s a human exploration program. We have the roadmap and we will have the launch soon,” he added.

As part of the Gaganyaan mission, the Indian Space Research Organization has begun preparing for unmanned flight tests.

The following was written in a post on the official ISRO account on social networking site X: “Mission Gaganyaan:

ISRO to commence unmanned flight tests for the Gaganyaan mission.

Preparations for the Flight Test Vehicle Abort Mission-1 (TV-D1), which demonstrates the performance of the Crew Escape System, are underway.”

ISRO claims that a successful test flight would pave the way for further qualification tests and unmanned flights, culminating in the first Gaganyaan mission including Indian astronauts.

According to a media release on the Gaganyaan test flight’s initial crew module, the agency is wrapping up preparations for the first development flight Test Vehicle (TV-D1).

ISRO’s Ahmedabad facility will construct the cabin systems and communication systems for the Gaganyaan mission.

There will be room for three astronauts inside the cabin, which will also be equipped with illumination, an internal monitoring system, and two displays.

India’s first human space mission, Gaganyaan, will include the launch of three men into an orbit 400 kilometres above the planet’s surface.
