
PM Modi in West Bengal Updates: PM lands in Kolkata, will address event on Netaji
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a 2 state tour amind upcoming assembly elections. PM distributed land ‘Patta’ or allotment certificates to over one lakh landless indigenous people in Assam’s Sivasagar district, under a special programme of the state government.
PM Modi will address “Parakram Diwas” celebrations in Kolkata on Netaji Subash Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary.

# Lal Bahadur Shastri had unveiled the statue of Netaji at Red Road in Kolkata in December 1965 as PM. Since then, no other PM visited the state on January 23. So, we requested PM Modi to visit Kolkata on this day and we’ll celebrate Netaji’s birthday together, said CK Bose.
Assam had innumerable families that did not have their own land decades after Independence.
6 lakh families did not have legal rights of their lands when we formed the govt in Assam. Over 2.25 lakh native families have been given pattas of land.
