PM Modi meets ‘divyang’ artist Aayush Kundal, urges people to see his paintings

At 10 years of age, Aayush joined a school for the physically disabled. He gradually developed an interest in drawing and sketching. As he followed his heart, he went on to master the skills and never looked back.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met specially-abled Aayush Kundal on Wednesday and commended his artwork & paintings.

PM Modi termed the meeting as distinctively unforgettable and said, “He is a source of inspiration for all of us. To keep on getting continuous inspiration, I will follow him on Twitter.”

The Prime Minister also shared the YouTube link of the divyang artist and appealed to people to see his incredible paintings.

“I request you all to have a look at the painting @aayush_kundal. Aayush has also created a YouTube channel for his paintings, which contains different colours of his life” Modi said in a tweet.


Source of inspiration for Prime Minister

After meeting the child, the Prime Minister shared pictures of meeting with him and said that he has started following the child prodigy to get inspired all the time. Along with them, a painting of Swami Vivekananda could be seen by his side.

Aayush trained hard to acquire skills

The specially abled Aayush Kundal suffers from cerebral palsy. His 80% of body is affected by the disease, thus making him dependent on parents for daily chores of life.

Aayush paints with his feet. Born in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh on April 27, 1997, he toiled hard to master the artwork. At 10 years of age, Aayush joined a school for the physically disabled. He gradually developed an interest in drawing and sketching. As he followed his heart, he went on to master the skills and since then never looked back.

Initially, the journey for Aayush was very challenging & draining as he couldn’t use his hands for drawing & painting but slowly he perfected the skills using his legs. Today, he has made his way into people’s hearts via paintings. He has also been awarded for his artworks at various exhibitions in Indore.
